BGI Consulting implements the evaluation of the EU Structural funds impact‘s on GDP

The purpose of the evaluation is to assess the EU Structural funds‘ impact on GDP, after absorbtion of EU Structural funds assistance for Lithuania during 2004-2006 programming period and to provide recommendations on incrasing EU structural funds impacts during the 2007-2013 programming period.
The main goals of the evaluation:
- To assess the changes in Lithuania‘s social and economic situation since the beginning of the SPD implementation in comparison to the initial situation and assumptions laid out in the SPD;
- To assess the SPD-level indicator‘s „The increase of the real GDP according to the initial scenario“ achievment level and to assess GDP‘s impact on added value in different sectors of the economy;
- To frame recommendations on increasing EU structural funds impacts during the 2007-2013 programming period.
BGI Consulting experts will implement the evaluation based on HERMIN economic modelling technique. This technique is acknowledged as the modelling Standard by the European Commission and is being widely applied in other EU member-states.
A course of evaluation seminars will be arranged in order to present the evaluation‘s results, conclusions and recommendations. The represesntatives of institutions, responsible for the EU structural assistance administration will be invited to the seminars as well as social, economic and regional partners, other interested institutions.
The contracting authority of the evaluation services is the Ministry of Finance.
