BGI Consulting and Ministry of Finance presented interim results of the evaluation of the EU Structural funds impact on Lithuania’s economy

Conference “The impact of EU Structural funds on Lithuania’s economy” was arranged to present methods of evaluation and interim results. The main aim of this evaluation is to evaluate the impact of EU structural funds on GDP in period 2004-2006 and provide recommendations for the 2007-2013 programming period.

Especially for Lithuania designed evaluation model HERLIT and basic results such as the extent of Structural funds impact on GDP, the efficiency of investment in comparison with other EU countries, the expectations of SF for the new programming period were presented during conference. Furthermore, reviews on socio-economic changes in various fields, macroeconomic tendencies and forecasts were discussed.

Experts of BGI Consulting Dr. John Bradley and Edvinas Bulevicius and chief analyst of DnB NORD bank Prof. Rimantas Rudzkis gave presentations in the conference.
