BGI Consulting implements the evaluation of the business environment in Vilnius region and analyses what measures adopted by the municipalities of the region could be most effective to promote the development of the small and medium sized business. The study encompasses the evaluation of the business environment and instruments applied by municipalities for stimulating and supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The impact of these instruments will be assessed and the recommendations on optimal set of measures to encourage SMEs will be provided.
The experts of the study carry out the analysis of the documents related to planning and regulation of SME sector and the analysis of the social and economic factors in each municipality. Methods of economic modelling and the survey of 600 business subjects operating in Vilnius region are also applied during the study.High attention is given for the analysis of the international practise in improving SMEs environment and encouraging development of SME sector.
