BGI Consulting performed the evaluation of direct payments influence on agricultural land price. The main purpose of the evaluation was to determine how direct payments influences price of agricultural land in Lithuania, based on long-term trends of land prices and direct payments.
A long-term land price trend was analysed on national and EU levels, as well as relation between changes in direct payments and land price. The experts of BGI Consulting had also assessed the capitalization level of direct payments into land price.
Furthermore, the experts developed a regression analysis on regional and national levels, allowing estimating influence of direct payments on land price in the period of 2014-2020.
The study was commissioned by Prime Minister Office of the Republic of Lithuania in collaboration with Ministry of Agriculture.
